Cookie Policy

1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website stores on your device to remember information between pages: for example that you are signed in, or which language you want to read the site in.
2. Which cookies we use
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Session cookie (authentication) | Keeps you signed in as you move between pages. Without it you would have to authenticate on every click. | Until logout or session expiry |
NEXT_LOCALE | Remembers whether you prefer the site in Italian or English. | 1 year |
These are all strictly necessary technical cookies: they fall under the exemption in Art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive, so they do not require your prior consent.
3. Third-party services
Some pages load external resources in order to work: map background tiles (CARTO), the map libraries (cdnjs/Cloudflare) and address-to-coordinates conversion (OpenStreetMap/Nominatim). These services do not set profiling cookies, but to deliver the content they necessarily receive your IP address.
4. How to manage cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Note that blocking technical cookies will stop account sign-in from working.
5. If we add analytics in the future
If we introduce traffic-analysis tools or other non-essential cookies, this page will be updated and a banner will appear to collect your consent before they are installed.
